Kendra Gardens is a retirement home run by the Gujarati Hindu Sanskruti Kendra in Durban, for couples or singles. According to the home's website, the rooms are fully air-conditioned with en-suite private bathrooms, and the home has a lounge and mini lounges on each floor, two dining rooms, a gymnasium, a library, a hair salon, three consulting rooms, two elevators, a generator, 24-hour security with CCTV cameras, secure under-cover parking and a first-floor garden with a water feature. A fully equipped central kitchen provides all meals. The website lists an all-inclusive charge of R7,800 per month for single accommodation and R9,950 per month for double accommodation, VAT inclusive; it does not say when these were set, so confirm current rates with the home. The charge includes electricity and water, housekeeping, laundry, all meals, a smart TV with WiFi and parking for one vehicle per room. Residents have access to the Temple and to the religious and cultural activities that take place at the Kendra.
