Thornhill Manor retirement village is located close to shops, a petrol station, the post office, sports clubs and golf courses and a beautiful nature reserve with trails.
This village comprises 112 two-bedroom units (99 m²) and 101 three-bedroom units (124m²). These are north facing cottages, available for purchase to people 65-years-old and over on a life-rights basis.
Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with generous cupboard space and space for a dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer, two bathrooms, a lounge/dining room, roofed terrace, an enclosed drying yard and a single or double lock-up garage with automatic garage door.
These cottages are carpeted and feature under-floor heating in the lounge and dining room. They also have telephone sockets and are connected to a central DSTV satellite dish.
We offer frail care facilities at Rand Aid’s Ron Smith Care Centre, just five kilometres away.
Our residents access an interdenominational chapel; a recreation centre with a large hall and stage; a swimming pool; transport to the shops and other amenities in the area; a community centre and library.
A hairdresser is available on site and a physiotherapist; podiatrist and beautician also provide services by appointment.
Services included in the levy are: Emergency call system; security including cameras at the gate and on fences, monitoring 24/7 and guard patrols; a village sister and preventative nursing care; a garden service; weekly servicing of cottages; daily postal delivery; 24-days per annum recuperation in the frail care centre per unit; water, rates; insurance of buildings; and external maintenance and administration costs. Electricity is charged separately.
