The hospital has 87 beds and one procedure room for electro-convulsive therapy. Its mental health service covers general psychiatry, including anxiety, depression, bipolar mood disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder and mental health conditions associated with substance use disorders. Treatment offered includes evidence-based drug therapy, individual psychiatric consultations and psychotherapy, group therapy and, where needed, physical therapy. The acute rehabilitation unit treats traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injuries and medically complex debilitating conditions, working as a multi-disciplinary team of rehabilitation doctors and nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians, counselling social workers, neuropsychologists and a consulting neuro-psychiatrist, with the patient and family at the centre of it. Visiting hours differ between the mental health and rehabilitation units, and no children under the age of 12 are allowed during visiting.
