Helderberg Manor

Helderberg Manor is a retirement village in Heritage Park, Somerset West, at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains. According to the home's website, it is a sectional title development, officially registered as Somerset Gardens, and is designated a retirement village, so residents must be retired persons over 50 and their spouses. Accommodation types are assisted living, garden cottages, freestanding homes and apartments. The assisted living suites are one-bedroom, open plan units with a kitchenette and medical care and assistance in the resident's own home. In-house amenities are a swimming pool, library, gym, hair dresser and social activities. Healthcare is provided by Manor Health Services, which offers managed home-based care and home nursing in residents' own units, with the cost for the resident's account. Security for Heritage Park is controlled by the park's management, with a camera network and a control room manned 24 hours.
